It is also great value with 4 bedrooms and an indoor swimming pool, which can be heated ( extra cost ). The house sits several miles off a small road on several hundred acres of private land and is perched on a hillside overlooking rolling green farmland, grazing deer, and a small pond. The charming town of Gubbio is nearby and Perugia is within easy reach. Location: in the Chiascio river valley that was the ancient route connecting Gubbio to Assisi, and the valley is guarded by castles and look out towers (you can see 5 from the house), 2 1/2 miles from the house overlooking a small waterfall is a small medieval chapel with a fresco of the virgin Mary. The house is 7 miles from Gubbio (main town) with shops, banks, restaurants, hospital, etc. The train station is 12 miles. There are 2 restaurants at 2/3 miles away and a small village with small grocery, a pharmacy and a post office 4 miles away.
